Antique wd1 Marked wooden plane
Plane does have a mark it looks like a crown logo but not for sure and has PD with initials of KDR on toe which has some checks also some checks on heal. Plane measures approx. 12 3/4" long the sole is approx. 1 1/2" wide blade holder is approx. 6 1/4" long blade has Albert Bertram stamped on top and measures approx. 8 3/16" long and cutting edge is approx. an 1 1/2" wide. click on picture for other view. Tool has D.R. Barton Rochester NY initials of JR Hopper on toe and heal also has owners name with the number 2. Plane measures approx. 9 1/2" long and sole is approx. 1 3/4" wide. Wedge is approx. 6" long. Blade has DR Barton partial mark seems it has been cut off at the end at one time and measures approx. 7 1/2" long with a skew edge which measures approx. 2 1/8" wide there is a forge crack on flat end of blade.Click on picture for other view.
