This tool is kind of hard to describe. On the sole there is a rib and the blades are profiled different from the one above the blades are both marked with a number of 48 and there is the number 2 stamped twice on the brass frame which is approx. 9 3/4" long more pictures upon request no makers name found looks like the Hammacher Schlemmer & Co. molding spokeshaves
