Sargent Number 407 Smooth Plane. This plane measures appox. 7 7/8 x 2 1/8 from handle to toe. Has 407 behind the frog.Low front knob good condition with Sargent on toe. Handle is in good condition with normal wear. Lever cap has Sargent VBM with number 7 stamped on the back with no chips. Blade has Sargent 407 New Haven Ct. USA Stamped on top and measures appox. 6 9/16 x 1 9/16. Lateral is in good concition. Frog is in good condition.Most of the orginal japaning remains. small brass ajusting nut.Smooth sole and heavy cast. More pictures upon request.
