Bridgeport Hardware Mfg. Co out of Bridgeport, CT start date around 1899 still trying to find the
date information on this company.
They made axes, combination tools, hammers and screwdrivers and the company used a variety of marks with
different combinations of jully spelled out or abbreviated (including "BPT" for Bridgeport) words. Some marks add city, brand
name, USA, etc.
The company used the brand names TOMAHAWK and BABY TERRIER. Their axes and hammers are primarily types used
for box/crate work. One screwdriver reported had both this name and a Stanley Mark on it, so they may have been a Stanley
supplier at one time. Their combination tools are the type with a hollow handle that holds an assortment of types of bits,
screwdrivers, etc. Some marks cited "CORP." vs. "CO.", problably a later year variation
It seems that Cooper Industries bought this company sometime ago.
